Saks Fifth Avenue’s New Subscription-like Business Model

Saks Fifth Avenue joins the party!

Inspired by the wild success of beauty brands in the subscription industry, the luxury department store revamped its loyalty program to include a boxed array of samples and more frequent, obtainable perks.

The new program, SaksFirst Beauty, will reward customers for every $250 spent using the SaksFirst credit card. Different tiers will be associated with different boxes comprised of designer beauty items ranging from serums and makeup to fragrances and at-home services.

As most subscription businesses strive to achieve, Saks Fifth Avenue hopes this new concept will enhance customer experience and expose shoppers to new products and brands that would be otherwise unfamiliar.
