On June 2, 2022, the industry’s finest gathered at SubSummit to celebrate the achievements of the subscription community during the 2022 SUBTA Cube Awards

The business awards ceremony — which was founded in 2017 — brings together subscription innovators from all six segments of the industry who strive to enhance the lives of consumers while also fueling their entrepreneurial spirits.

“The Cube Awards is THE biggest night in DTC (direct-to-consumer) subscription,” says Chris Chambers, SubSummit Emcee. “What’s really wonderful is how the community comes together to celebrate individual companies, but also the growth of the entire industry.

This year, 16 winners were announced during the business awards ceremony in categories ranging from Best Subscription Box to Best Customer Experience at the 2022 SUBTA Cube Awards.

Without further ado, meet this year’s award-winning businesses!

The SUBTA Impact Award

It takes a lot to launch, grow, and scale a subscription business, and it takes even more to find time and help your peers realize their dreams. At SUBTA, it’s our mission to help the space grow, and that’s why we are honored to introduce a new award this year, the SUBTA Impact award.

This year’s Impact Award winner is John Roman, CEO of Battlbox, a company that has won an astounding six Cube Awards.

John Roman has been attending SubSummit since 2017 and is an avid supporter of the SUBTA community.

“I’m not one to usually be at a loss for words, but here I am. SUBTA has built an amazing community where merchants and vendors are willing to share information, and it’s just so cool, and it makes me speechless. Everybody cares, and everybody can win, and it’s just amazing, and I’m just so grateful. Thank you,” said John.
