A new trade association, focusing on the emerging subscription commerce industry has been formed, sparked in part by the rapid growth of subscription box companies’ worldwide.
The Subscription Trade Association (SUBTA), launching today at the Subscription Summit in Austin, Texas, will help its members with networking, professional development and customer service benchmarking for an industry that has had more than 2,500 subscription box companies started in the last three years.
Our Priorities
Our top 6 tenets include:
- Networking
- Professional development
- Customer experience
- Profitable growth
- Socially conscious
- Mission critical research
“Over the next decade, the subscription box industry is on track to generate more than $90 billion in annual revenues,” said Paul Chambers, one of the co-founders of SUBTA. “We believe forming SUBTA is a natural next step given the growth that is ongoing in subscription commerce as a whole. Therefore, creating a global network that helps grow enduringly fantastic subscription businesses just makes sense.”
Engaging Conscious Capitalism
In addition to networking and professional development, SUBTA leaders will build a community of members practicing, ‘conscious capitalism’.
“We want to foster a socially conscious sustainable box industry, where profitable growth and impact thrive together,” said Michelle Lange, a co-founder of SUBTA. “Additionally, we will lead research efforts that are critical to our mission including sustainability.”
The growth of subscription commerce is on full display this week at the Subscription Summit, taking place May 31-June 1, 2017 at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol. Over 450 entrepreneurs, box businesses and the complete subscription commerce value chain are attending the second annual summit.
